These paintings by Adolphe Valette (1876-1942) can be seen at the Manchester Art Gallery. I bought these postcards there a week or so ago. I think he could be my current favourite artist - an English Monet painting the industrial landscape of the North West of England.
The three paintings are:
(Left): York Street Leading to Charles Street, Manchester - 1913
(Centre): Bailey Bridge, Manchester - 1912
(Right): India House - 1912
