We went to the Saturday morning kids' cinema at Cineworld in Chesterfield to watch Nanny McPhee & the Big Bang. The ceiling of the foyer is a huge mirror!
Obviously, as a musician, I spend a lot of time with musical instruments but it never ceases to amaze me how beautiful they are visually as well as aurally (in the right hands!).
This is Lady Manners School Orchestra having just arrived back from Budapest - all extremely tired but also, somehow, still rather hyper!!

Tonight we have a concert at Lady Manners School. Groups performing include Beginner, Junior and Intermediate Bands, Junior Strings, Flute Ensemble and the percussion ensemble. The percussion ensemble are playing some samba.

This is pre-match - I'm hoping for a Dutch victory but fully expect Spain to win 2-1!
Olivia has ballet at the Whitworth Centre in Darley on a Saturday morning, so while she is in there the rest of us had a wander around Whitworth Park.
In the past couple of years they've re-flooded the lake at the far end of the park and on there we saw this nesting Moorhen.

I really like quite simple and "organised" art. I particularly enjoy works by Mondrian and Bridget Riley. This is a photo of some dots! The dots are actually on an IKEA plastic step which lives beside our bath!!
Had a lovely quiet day at home and then went for a swim with eldest.
I'm off to Budapest with the school orchestra in less than a fortnight when I hope to become reacquainted with some Unicum!

We're growing strawberries for the first time.
We got this projector clock at Christmas. Bizarrely the time on the clock and the time it projects are different and run at different rates! This is the projection onto our bedroom ceiling.
