She was collecting sponsorship money for the Bobby Moore Fund ( www.cancerresearchuk.org/bobbymoorefund/ ) which raises money for research and awareness into bowel cancer - the illness which killed my father.

If you would like to sponsor her still (and that is possible for a while after the event) you can at: www.run10kforbobbymoorefund.org/tracysteadman

This is our cat, Moortjie. She's pretty old now - thirteen and a half. She's named after the cat that Anne Frank had to leave behind when she went into hiding (I got her at a time when I'd written a big piece of music about Anne Frank!).

The "mosaic" effect is done using Percolator on my iPhone.

We went to Brownsea Island today, in Poole Harbour.

A beautiful place with fantastic wildlife. There were peacocks (but sadly none displaying their full tail feathers) and, alas, we didn't see any red squirrels.

During the boat journey back to Poole Quay we saw this hydrofoiler which moved very rapidly through (or over!) the water!

The Spinnaker Tower stands proud nearby - a stuning addition to the waterfront skyline.
